ABConvert plans

All plans use order-based pricing, designed to align with your store’s performance. Each plan includes a number of billable orders, so you can run tests risk-free with a free trial and scale as your store grows.
For all first-time users, all plans include a 14-day free trial. You can run tests and evaluate results before committing. ABConvert does not create usage or overage charges during your active trial. Trial-period orders do not carry into your first paid billing cycle. (Exception: Unlimited plan has no free trial)

What each plan includes

Some test types require a specific Shopify plan due to technical limitations, regardless of your ABConvert plan:
  • Shipping test (*): Requires Shopify Plus for Carrier Service API
  • Checkout UI extension test (**): Requires Shopify Plus

How order limits and overage work

Each plan includes a number of billable orders per billing cycle. For example, the Growth plan includes 5,000 billable orders. A billable order is a unique order ABConvert records while a test or personalization runs during that billing cycle. For a test, this includes orders from the full Assigned visitors group. You pay overage only when your billable orders exceed your plan limit. Store orders ABConvert does not record for a running test or personalization do not create an overage charge.
You can monitor your billable orders and overage status anytime from the Billing page in the ABConvert dashboard. Read Billing usage and overage for examples and calculation details.

For billing, ABConvert counts billable orders, not all store orders.A billable order is a unique order ABConvert records while a test or personalization runs during the billing cycle. For a test, this includes orders from the full Assigned visitors group. If the order is associated with multiple tests or personalizations, ABConvert still counts it only once for billing.
Overage charges apply when your billable orders exceed your plan limit during the billing cycle. If your store has high total order volume but only a smaller number of those orders are billable, ABConvert charges based only on billable orders.
Overage is billed per 1,000 billable orders over your limit, rounded up.Example: You’re on the Growth plan (5,000 order limit), and 6,800 unique billable orders are recorded this month.
  • Billable orders over limit: 1,800
  • Billable units: 2 (rounded up from 1.8)
  • Overage charge: 2 × 39 = _78_
  • Total for the month: 199+199 + 78 = $277
Every plan has a maximum overage charge per billing cycle, and you can check your cap on your billing page. Once you hit this cap, no additional overage is charged for the rest of that billing cycle, though new tests will be paused until the next cycle begins. The cap resets automatically each cycle.
Overage is calculated and charged through Shopify’s standard 30-day billing cycle. It appears on the same invoice as your subscription renewal, on the same billing date every 30 days from your activation date.
