# Billing Usage and Overage

> Learn which orders ABConvert counts for billing and how overage works.

## What ABConvert bills

ABConvert bills for **unique billable orders** during your billing cycle.

A billable order is a unique order ABConvert records while a test or personalization runs during your billing cycle. For a test, this includes orders from the full **Assigned visitors** group. Each order counts once per billing cycle, even if it is associated with more than one test or personalization.

ABConvert does not bill for every store order. Orders that ABConvert does not record for a running test or personalization are not included in billable-order usage.

## How Analytics filters and billing usage are counted

Analytics lets you view one selected test and customize the order total with filters. For example, **Visitors who experienced the test** focuses on visitors who entered the part of the journey where that test could affect their experience. **Assigned visitors** includes everyone who matched the test audience and was assigned to a Control or Variant group.

Analytics may show different order totals depending on your filter setup. Billing does not use those Analytics filters: for a test, it always counts unique orders from the full **Assigned visitors** group while the test runs during the billing cycle.

Suppose you are on Growth, which includes 5,000 billable orders per billing cycle.

* ABConvert records 5,000 unique orders during tests and personalizations that run in the billing cycle.
* You open Analytics for one test and measure by Visitors who experienced the test. That view shows 800 orders.

The 800 and 5,000 totals can differ because the Analytics view uses its selected filters, while Billing counts the full Assigned visitors group for the test. Do not use an Analytics order count as an invoice total.

## How overage is calculated

ABConvert calculates overage per 1,000 billable orders above your plan limit, rounded up. Your plan's overage cap still applies.

For example, if you are on Growth and reach 6,200 billable orders:

* Included billable orders: 5,000
* Billable orders over the limit: 1,200
* Overage units: 2, rounded up from 1.2
* Overage charge: 2 × $39 = $78

You can see your current billable usage, plan limit, overage rate, and usage cap on the **Billing** page.
